A movie poster for Mulan – The Legend of a Woman Warrior, starring Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, has been released.
The movie is adapted from an epic folk story about Mulan, a girl who replaced her aging father in conscription and fight the enemies in war.
The story has been remade numerous times. This latest version will be in English and will be produced in 3D.

Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi will return to the Hollywood silver screen in a 100-million-dollar 3D film Hua Mulan.
On top of playing the main character, Zhang will also serve as the producer of the film. The lead actor has been confirmed as pop singer Lee-Hom Wang, who speaks fluent English.
The film will start shooting in October, as collaboration with Disney which filmed Mulan as a cartoon in 1998 that subsequently took in 120 million US dollars at the box office.
The director is Chuck Russell, the man behind such bona fide classics as The Mask, The Blob and The Scorpion King.

Hong Kong movie star Jackie Chan ranks number one in the recently released Forbes China Celebrity List of 2010.
Taiwanese musician Jay Chou and Hong Kong singer and actor Andy Lau are in hot pursuit in 2nd and 3rd.
The two standards for ranking celebrities are personal income and media exposure rate which is judged from 28 popular newspapers, 18 nationwide TV programs and cover stories in 29 magazines.
4th to 10th are Yao Ming, Zhang Ziyi, Zhao Benshan, Jolin Tsai, Donnie Yen, Liu Xiang and Fan Bingbing.
Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun is set to appear alongside Chinese movie star Zhang Ziyi in a new film by Wayne Wang, titled Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, which is based on the same title by Chinese-American writer Lisa See.
Set in 19th century China, the film chronicles the lives of two women – Lily and Snow Flower – and their intimate lifelong friendship.
Zhang is set to play the main character Snow Flower while Jun’s role in the film has not been decided as of yet.
Wanye Wang, a Chinese-American filmmaker, has directed several notable movies such as The Joy Luck Club (1993), Maid in Manhattan (2002) and Smoke (1995), for which he won the Silver Bear award at Berlin International Film Festival.

Zhang Ziyi and boyfriend Vivi Nevo were spotted together at a fashion show in Milan, Italy, in late September.
It was the couple’s first joint public appearance in months, which will probably ends some break up speculations, at least for now.
