Korean star Kwon Sang-woo shooting some new photos for a cosmetic brand…
Top hallyu actor Kwon Sang-woo has drawn contrasting responses in Korea and abroad recently for his role in a new TV drama after a two-year hiatus.
The drama, entitled Bad Love, recorded domestic viewer ratings of just 6.1 percent on Dec 3, when its pilot episode aired.
But its exports to Japan and Taiwan have been anything but sluggish, posting export revenues of three billion won in Japan alone. In fact, Bad Love and the epic drama The Four Guardian Gods of the King, starring actor Bae Yong-jun have been paving the way for a revival of the hallyu boom.
A person from the production crew of Bad Love said Asian fans have been looking forward to Kwon’s acting after his long hiatus and that some 100 foreign fans visit the drama’s filming sites every day.

The movie is about 4 good friends that somehow become enemies because of ‘fate’. The filming is going to be completed soon; the movie is expected to hit the cinema before mid of 2008.
Kwon Sang-woo looks as macho as ever, while Song Seung-hun also seems bulked up a bit from his military service.
Kwon Sang-woo, Lee Yo-won and Kim Sung-soo, the main cast of upcoming Korean drama Bad Love, were at a press meeting last Saturday (Nov 17) to promote the drama.
Korean actor Kwon Sang-woo arrived in Japan on July 27, and was welcomed by over 3000 fans at the airport.
Popular Korean actor Kwon Sang-woo has agreed to feature in FNS 27 Hour TV, a special Japanese variety show that is going to be hosted by Shingo Katori from SMAP.
It is reported that Kwon Sang-woo has previously agreed personally to Shingo that he would appear on one of the shows he hosted… and he is fulfilling his promise this time.
Kwon Sang-woo is one of the most popular Korean stars in Japan. He starred in TV drama Stairway to Heaven, which was quite popular in Japan.
Besides 27 Hour TV, Kwon Sang-woo will also appear in another TV show, The Adventure King 2007.

Bae Yong-joon and Choi Ji-woo are voted the most popular Korean stars in a recent Japanese poll.
Bae and Choi are made famous with TV drama Winter Sonata a few years ago, and still remain popular.
Lee Byung-hun and Kwon Sang-woo are ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively at the male’s poll; where as Jun Ji-hyun and Lee Young-ae are 2nd and 3rd in the female’s poll.
