Japanese pop star Koda Kumi will work with Korean boyband TVXQ in her next single, Last Angel.
The idea of working together first emerged when both parties met in last year’s Asia Song Festival. Last Angel will be Koda Kumi’s 38th single, and will be used as Japanese theme song for movie “Resident Evil: Extinction”, which is set to premiere in November 2007.

Singer Koda Kumi is the highest earning Japanese female artist for the past 12 months; she made an estimated USD20 million over the period.

2nd on the list is Ayumi Hamasaki, 3rd is Hikaru Utada.
Yukie Nakama tops the actress list with estimated USD3 million (far behind Koda Kumi). 2nd on the list is Kou Shibasaki, while Korean actress Choi Ji-woo is 3rd.

Hip-pop star Namie Amuro is voted in a recent Japanese survey as the Dancing Queen in Japan.

Korean star Kwon Boa is 2nd; Koda Kumi 3rd.

Koda Kumi is Japanese best selling singer in 2006 according to ORICON, with gross sales of 12.6 billion yen (~USD100 million).
The sales total is from Kumi’s singles, albums and DVDs released in 2006.
Ranked 2nd and 3rd are band Kobukuro and Ken Hirai. Hirai’s compilation album 10th Anniversary Complete Single Collection ‘95-’05 is the best selling album of the year.
