Hong Kong actress Karena Lam recently announced her plans to retire from the entertainment industry.
Born in Canada, Karena Lam started her career when she was only 15, but rose to fame eight years later with her first film July Rhapsody co-starring Jacky Cheung. Later she starred in many popular films such as Inner Senses and Floating Landscape, all of which won her wide acclaim.
“Karena Lam is now learning photography and architecture in Canada and France, she is interested in ceramics and wants to develop in the artistic circle,” one of her friends was quoted as saying.
Update: Karena Lam is married and pregnant. That’s probably the real reason behind her retirement.
