Korean pop group Girls’ Generation has topped the Japanese Oricon album weekly sales chart with their Japan 1st Album. The album sold over 231,000 copies in its first week of release.

Girls’ Generation release first Japanese original

Korean pop group Girls’ Generation has released their first original Japanese song (also their third Japanese single), Mr Taxi, on April 26.

Korean idol group Girls’ Generation has been chosen as the new face of major semiconductor-chip maker Intel Corporation’s new product in Asia.

According to a press release by SM, Girls’ Generation will endorse the 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processor family starting today by taking part in Intel’s marketing activities covering seven Asian countries including Korea.

The girls will appear in various forms of promotional work including songs, 2D and 3D-format MV, internet sites and photographs. A music video, Visual Dreams, has been released on Jan 17 to kick start their campaign.
