A-Mei was promoting her latest album, Star; and when a video of her mother encouraging her in their mother tongue was broadcast at the event, without her prior knowledge, the singer was so moved she unexpectedly burst into tears.
Taiwanese pop star Show Luo has signed for EMI-Capitol, following the footsteps of his buddie Jolin Tsai.

EMI is showing great ambition with Taiwan music; besides Show and Jolin, the company has also signed big names like A-Mei and Stefanie Sun.

China’s Supergirl 2005 winner and now popular singer, Chris Li Yuchun is set to perform on stage at Las Vegas Aladdin Theatre on Valentine’s eve.

This will be Yuchun’s first stage performance in North America, but US audiences won’t be too unfamiliar of her as Yuchun was featured in Times magazine when she won the popular Supergirl singing contest.
The Las Vegas performance is an annual concert to celebrate Chinese New Year and to provide a platform for international artists from the East and West to interact with each other.
Other Asian stars that have confirmed their appearance for the concert include international superstar Jackie Chan, Taiwan pop diva A-Mei and rock band Mayday etc.
