Popular Korean actor Kwon Sang-woo has agreed to feature in FNS 27 Hour TV, a special Japanese variety show that is going to be hosted by Shingo Katori from SMAP.

It is reported that Kwon Sang-woo has previously agreed personally to Shingo that he would appear on one of the shows he hosted… and he is fulfilling his promise this time.
Kwon Sang-woo is one of the most popular Korean stars in Japan. He starred in TV drama Stairway to Heaven, which was quite popular in Japan.
Besides 27 Hour TV, Kwon Sang-woo will also appear in another TV show, The Adventure King 2007.

Japanese celebrity couple Ayumi Hamasaki and Tomoya Nagase have split after 7 years of relationship.

Ayumi announced the split on her official website; the actual reason of the separation is not revealed, but it’s said that they split peacefully and will remain friends.

Veteran Taiwanese singer A-Mei bursts into tears at a public fans meeting on Friday (July 13).

A-Mei was promoting her latest album, Star; and when a video of her mother encouraging her in their mother tongue was broadcast at the event, without her prior knowledge, the singer was so moved she unexpectedly burst into tears.

Korean star Lee Byung-hun celebrated his 37th birthday with over 16,000 Japanese fans in Tokyo on July 12. It must be pretty amazing to have 16,000 singing a birthday song for him.

Korean pop star Rain has some really supportive fans in Hong Kong… the fans from fanclub Rainhk.com have joint hands to publish an advertisement on 2 major local newspapers to show their support for their idol who is facing some troubles lately.

The advertisement is written in 3 languages (Chinese, English and Korean) and came with a price of HK$30,000 (around USD4,000).
