Veteran Hong Kong actress Michelle Yim suffered altitude sickness and fainted while filming a commercial in Lhasa, Tibet.
It’s reported that Michelle is ok after being treated in local hospital and is back to Hong Kong for further treatment.
Altitude sickness is a condition that is caused by acute exposure to high altitudes. It commonly occurs above 2,400 meters (Lhasa is around 3,600m) and could be life threatening if not treated properly; not all people will get sick though, it depends on the person’s adaptability to the high altitude.
Get well soon.
