Taiwan artist Beatrice Xu (Hsu Wei Lun, 1978-2007) passed away on Sunday evening (Jan 28).

Beatrice met with a car accident on late Friday night (Jan 26) and suffered serious injuries, she finally passed away after nearly 43 hours of rescue. Beatrice died of low oxygen level that was caused by her head injury.
Beatrice was quite popular in Taiwan; she was dubbed Angel by her fans, and was good buddy of other famous stars like Ariel Lin, Cyndi Wang, Joe Cheng and Rainie Yang etc.

Japan heartthrob Takuya Kimura seems to be back to his old best with his recent movie and TV drama success.

His latest TV drama Karei-naru Ichizoku started showing in Japan on Jan 14 and tops the rating chart for 2 weeks in a role; while his movie Bushi no Ichibun (pic) is doing well in box-office and is invited to Berlim Film Festival for exhibition too.
Takuya Kimura has been one of the most influential Japanese artists in Asia for the past decade; he faced some career’s mini-crisis for the past couple of years, but it seems that he is winning back his fans again in 2007.

Korean pop star Kwon BoA tops Japan Oricon chart again with her latest Japanese album Made In Twenty.
This is BoA’s 5th album in a role to hit #1 on Oricon charts since making her debut Listen To My Heart in 2002. It will be her 6th if her compilation album Best Album is included.
This put BoA on the 2nd on the list of #1 albums in a role. The current record holder is none other than pop diva Ayumi Hamasaki.
